For those who are not yet familiar with your music, how would you in a few words describe the style of music you play and produce?

Sexy, cool, pumping and deep.

We can see you´ve had massive support from big DJs, especially with your Nirvana cover track. Did you ever expect to be received so well in the industry?

As pretencious as this might sound, I actually really was expecting it to be succesful knowing how well the original version did. Smells like teen spirit has become an anthem of rock/grunge music, and in some way I wanted to make it an electronic anthem as well. And to answer your second question: Yes, I do, its always great to be supported.

Do you think it matters to be recognised and supported from your colleagues?

Of couse, it means so much, and not just the support of my peers, but also my fans. Knowing that people enjoy listening to what you create between your own  4 walls makes it all worth the blood, sweat and tears.

I see you set a Guiness Record. Mind telling us a little bit about this?

That´s actually a funny story. DJ Skitzofrenix, myself and a few more DJs organized a house party for 500 people on a KLM plane on the way to Miami´s Music Week. And at one point when the plane was flying  11.582 meters high, was the time I was playing, thats when the Guiness record was set.

Do you have any negative experiences from some show in the past?

I cant say I´ve had any bad experiences from any show in particular, it´s always the things around the show that cause problems. For example, last summer I had a few shows in 5 different countries, which of course means – zero sleep. On the way to Turkey I forgot my suitcase in the cab and was late for my connecting flight. I lost all the money I had with me, plus you wouldnt believe how difficult it is to find someone who speaks English in Turkey. But to make a long story short, I made it in time for my showoh yes did I mention I got arrested at the airport? Ahah, maybe we should leave that story for another time. J

With your Bosnian roots, could you say for yourself you are presenting your country in the electronic music scene? Was it hard integrating yourself in the international music scene? What is the Bosnian music scene like?

I guess I could say I´m presenting both Bosnia and Holland in the world music scene. Im proud of my roots, and in the other hand proud of the country I am living in now, and also grateful for having both countries leave a positive impact in my music career. I guess I can say that the Bosnian electronic music scene is struggling a little bit as the trend of folk music mania is taking over nowadays.

Mind telling us a little about your future projects? What are you working on at the moment?

We´ll at the moment I´m starting a project with Gramophondzie, finishing a project with Roger Sanche, and also another project with Jose Nunez…and many others, no need to start naming every single artist. Im going to have a lot of solo projects in 2012 also, so it looks like I´ve got a great year ahead of me J.

What is in your opinion the highlight of your career?

Its right now. Im living it. Travelling the world, meeting new people all the time and just doing what I know best…Living life to the fullest. What more could I ask for?

We see you have been working with many known names in the biz…Who did you enjoy working with the most? And why?

Its hard to single out any names as I really had the priviledge to work with so many talented artists. I could name a few, lets say, Roger Sanchez, no need to explain my reasons really, there is so much one could learn from such an artist. His passion for music is undescribable, and when you work with someone like this, his passion in some way leaves an impact on you too… But every artist has their own style of working , and the results are always good, thats the main thing. I also enjoyed working with Choholate Puma and Hardsoul.

Is there an artist you would like to collaborate with in the future? Name someone, and why?

Well, who wouldnt like to work with Lady Gaga, she is such a talented musician, innovative, unpredictable, and boy can she sing. Who knows, maybe some day. J

Who inspired you to turn to electronic music, some DJ, song, event you attended that changed your life?

When I moved to Holland back in 95, I visited a club near by one night to listen to one of the local DJs  play. I believe his name was DJ Fabian. I was inspired with the way he moved the crowd, I told myself – wow, this is it, this is what I want to do. Months later I even got a job in a record store which gave me access to all genres of electronic music. Club Boot Barocca in Rotterdam was the club which first gave me the chance to fulfill my dream of becoming a DJ.

What is your opinion on female DJs? Do you think sexy djanes are downgrading dj-ing as a serious profession?

Honestly I think it´s ridiculous since there are so many talented female DJs out there, but I guess some clubs prefer looks over sound.

To summarise things, looking back 15 years from now, would you have ever imagined you would get this far in your career?

I planned out my carreer from day one and worked hard every day to fulfill my goals. I am also very thankful to all the people who helped out along the road and of course to my production,  that this all happened. I am very grateful.

Alot of Djs nowadays are using microphones on their shows to speak with their crowd? What is your opinion on this? Do you think it is necessary?

If they think it´s useful to use a mic while DJ-ing, then go ahead. Morillo and Sanchez started to use a mic to lift the crowd, and I´m not going to lie, even I grab it from time to time.

Do you think you’re a better DJ or a better producer? Which do you enjoy more?

I enjoy djing more, but i love both equally. I started djing first, the second came along the way.

What is your personal favorite track at the moment? (Not yours J )
Murk- Amame

We all have ups and downs in our careers. What has given you the inspiration to persist through the darker times over the years?

Music in general helped me persist…I live it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all hard times I live through music, and music always gets me out of everything.

With so many producers out there hoping to break into the scene, what is your greatest tip to stand out above the rest?

Lock yourself in your room and make music until you make that one tune you´re certain will get released..even if it takes a year…let it…

When producing, how do you decide when a track is “done”?  Do you find it hard to commit to exporting that final version?

If you ask me, my tracks are never completed,  but at some point you need to let them go.

What can we expect from you in 2012?

As I said earlier, I´m going to have a lot of solo releases, and I´m also starting my first label Roffa records. It will be a house label and I´m really excited about this.

We see you had a show this summer in Croatia, how was it? When will we see you again?

Yes, it was outstanding, Croatian people really party hard, I wish I could play there each and every week. Pag is off the hook!
